Gender Equality Plan 2026–2029

Version 1.0 · Approved 25 August 2026 · Next review August 2027

Emobotix develops emotional AI that helps technology understand people. That mission requires more than technical performance: it requires fair opportunities inside our company and inclusive, responsible choices in the way we design research, data, products and partnerships.

Emobotix, UAB has adopted a public Gender Equality Plan for 2026–2029. It applies to our employees, applicants, trainees, management, regular contractors and consultants and, where relevant, to partners and suppliers acting on our behalf.

Our commitment

We are committed to:

  • Equal treatment, dignity and transparent decision-making.
  • A workplace free from discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, gender-based violence and retaliation.
  • Fair recruitment, career development, pay and access to leadership opportunities.
  • Practical work–life balance and an inclusive organisational culture.
  • Privacy-preserving annual monitoring and management accountability.
  • Annual training on equality, unconscious bias, respectful conduct and reporting routes.
  • Meaningful integration of sex and gender considerations into research and innovation where scientifically, ethically and legally relevant.

How the Plan is implemented

The Director is accountable for implementation. Emobotix reserves dedicated staff time and, when required, budget for training, expert advice and independent review.

We establish an evidence-based baseline, monitor agreed indicators annually and publish an aggregated progress summary without exposing personal or salary data in our small team.

The Plan addresses five priority areas:

1. Work–life balance and organisational culture

Consistent flexible-working arrangements where roles permit, predictable meeting practices and fair return from parental or caring leave.

2. Leadership and decision-making

Annual review of representation in management, project leadership, advisory roles and external visibility, with broader outreach where imbalance exists.

3. Recruitment, career progression and pay

Inclusive job advertisements, structured criteria, documented decisions, fair access to development and an annual pay-equity review.

4. Research, data and emotional AI

Gender Relevance & Inclusion Screen for every relevant human-facing R&I project, covering representativeness, subgroup performance, foreseeable harms, limitations and mitigation.

5. Prevention of gender-based violence and sexual harassment

Zero tolerance, confidential reporting, conflict-free assessment, non-retaliation and access to external authorities.

Responsible emotional AI

Emobotix works with facial, voice, behavioural and interaction signals. We therefore examine whether sex, gender and intersecting factors may affect study design, data quality, user experience, model performance or potential harm.

We do not infer a person’s gender from their name, appearance, face, voice or behaviour for workforce monitoring.

In R&I, gender inference will not be used unless it is strictly necessary, lawful, ethically justified and validated for the stated purpose. We avoid stereotypes and unjustified binary assumptions, document limitations and escalate material risks before deployment.

Raising a concern

Concerns may be raised with the Emobotix Equality Contact:

Darius Kaškelis, Director

Reports are handled promptly, impartially and as confidentially as possible. Retaliation is prohibited.

If a concern involves the Director or another conflict exists, an independent reviewer will be appointed.

Governance and review

The Plan is reviewed at least annually and earlier when organisational, legal or risk changes require it.

The review considers:

  • Monitoring data.
  • Personnel feedback.
  • Implementation evidence.
  • Lessons from research and innovation projects.
